LA VIDA LOCA - CRAZY LIFE

Gregor Cholewa

ROADMOVIE

i made it: after 15 days of cycling, after 2000 km, i passed the 2509m high
timmelsjoch - the border between italy and austria. it was not a travel
from one origin to one destination, but a travel along a road lined with
an infinite number of adventures, sights and goals. beginning from the light
brown and ochre hills of aragon the color palette gradually changed in
thousands of shades till I arrived in the so familiar bright green and
mountainous south-tyrol. florian supported me for the hardest stage of all,
when we got lost in the fog, darkness and rain on the pass over the
pyrenees. i really enjoyed my time in france - the lovely green hills along
the foot of the pyrenees, the food, and the cities i have seen (beziers,
montpellier, st. tropez, nice). in itally i always had two plates of pizza
or pasta and nevertheless lost weight during my travel...

allready dreaming about my next bike-tour...

leaving catalunya - the road to pamplona

after 4 days in barcelona we rent a car and went up to the north:
the tourist
cathedral
daddy and me

turning westwards we made our way through the pyrenees to andorra:
enterring andorra
highest point 2500m

travelling through the pyrenees of catalunya:
out of andorra
road to pont de suert
my mom

leaving the highest peaks behind us we entered aragon:
still in the mountains
the landscape slowly changed
looking back
and again
monastery

...and finally navarra:
N240
a lake

barcelona - sunny side up

thanks to 'lonelyplanet' i've found a cheap hostal right in the center of
this ever pulsating metropole. after a sleepless night on munich airport i
was close to becoming sick - but barcelona didn't gave me a rest. after
falling in love with the city i was full of energy again. mostly with my
parents i explored the town:

aquarium:
starring eyes
singing fish

sagrada de familia:
building site
mom and the sea
mom

park geull:
overexposed but serious
concentrated and relaxed
famous place

various:
dad
the biologist
two sprayers and tags

looking foward to my next visit in barcelona!

foody heaven

a few weeks ago i made pasta for some of the erasmus students:
me in the kitchen
pasta a la casa
arthur made our wonderful 'postre'.

well, cooking in a spanish kitchen is always an adventure, because the electricity is braking down if youre using to much devices at the same time. i like it ;)
so, tomorrow there will be another erasmus-dinner at my place...pictures will follow!

peace,
gre

my taiwanese friends

do you know, how much austrians and taiwanese people have in common?
my friend yen-ling is the one on the left.

San Sebastian and the Killer Tortilla

almost two weeks ago Birgitt was visiting me. as a result of spanish tortilla we unpleasantly experienced the contradiction between having a soul but a body as well. sometimes these two things don't fit togehter at all. after two days of beeing sick we went to San Sebastian, certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the north of spain.

these are some impressions of our trip:
the beach
the view from our window
heavy clowds
birgitt and the sea

our hotel: niza

---AQUARIUM ---
sorry, I don't have images of the turtles, sharks and everything.
but if you go to San Sebastian: visit the AQUARIUM!

adios,

how have you expected spain?

i'm a little late. allready here for 4 weeks and haven't wrote about my
experiences up to now. i'm not going to write all of these. But to give you
an impression I'll upload some images of the past weeks...

el choque cultural

i just arrived in pamplona. don't have an idea of the spanish language.
well, i`m improoving... i managed to get a mobile phone 'sin contrato'
and i´ve found a flat - un apartemento compartido - with three other
erasmus-students. sorry, have to continue my work now. hasta la proxima!
